250 BHP Passat Coming

Featured Replies

It grabbed my attention too untill i read further. Looks like rubbish journalism as it claims its powered by "already available" 247bhp 1.8 turbo.

Even if the journalism is shoddy the fact thet they are contemplating a powerful version kinda bodes well. Maybe its just for US versions but the journalist refers to European versions as the cars basis so who knows.

247bhp from a new 2.0 TSI would be perfectly reasonable but i doubt it would be from a 1.8.

Even if they do is it likely to filter into the skoda range?????????

why is 247bhp unbelievable for the 1.8TSI when they did a 236bhp 1.8T?

Probably because their own 2.0 ltr produces less so i doubt they would have a 1.8 higher up the range plus they dont have a 1.8 in europe at the moment with 247bhp as the journo claims.

It's destined for the US market so chances are it will be relatively quick in a straight line but rubbish round the corners!
