Electric mirror switch

Featured Replies

The mirror adjustment/heater switch has suddenly lost its strong sprung/indented feel as you turn it - it now feels limp and bust. Could this be because someone :wonder: has turned the knob round through 360 deg, or can the knob be turned around all the way without it breaking?

It can be turned all the way round mate you can adjust left right and when it feels limps its on heater setting as fae as i am aware

Thanks!

It definitely has lost its normal "strong spring to valid position" action - happened tonight when daughter rotated it several times try to find the heated position - said she "thought it should click but then all of a sudden it went kind of funny and felt broken" :wonder:

I check it out tomorrow, hopefully its still electrically functional... dont want to spend £27 for a new switch......

I did the same if you put it to adjust mirror it will woek as normal, octavia's have the same switch

Seems to have fixed itself!!? Action a bit lighter than before but spring/ident action back. Maybe something to do with the sub zero weather.

(All doors stuck shut again due to ice.... )
