Padle clutch problems

Featured Replies

Hi guys basically iv got a 6 paddle clutch and single mass fly wheel and when I put the car in first lets say pulling up to lights I keep the clutch depressed and when I go to pull away the bitepoint is ridiculously low as in a few centimetres off the floor if that but its only in first gear and only if I fully depress the clutch.....any ideas? Oh and there is a little squeek as I pull away.

Thanks guys chris

Try keeping it pressed down for longer in a car park and see if it ends up biting on its own. If it does I'd say you've got a leak. Have you checked the brake fluid to rule out if you've got a leak?

Yea it does do what you said kyle :( where would it be leaking though there is no clutch slip or anything

And also the fluid level is perfect

Could it be the slave cylinder/ release bearing.

When mine was on its way out I'd press the clutch fully down but didn't fully disengage first

The bite point is governed by the bleed isn't it? Id check its bled properly and the fluid levels are ok as a starting point.

On a side note - my 6 paddle clutch bite is near the top and not the bottom.
