Cleaning and Maintaining vRS Seats

Featured Replies

Hi All

I wondered what people recommended as the best way to clean and protect the alcantara seats in an Octavia VRS. I have the optional ones with red stitching and are part leather/part cloth/part suede.

I have told that this would be good http://www.cleanyour...&productId=1094 as it would also act as a barrier against fluids, which would be good as I have a very young child.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions/advice?

I've the same interior as you and put i1 on it. Whilst no incidents with the seats yet to comment. I also did the floor mats and they just Hoover clean

Hmm ok that's interesting to hear. Will have to look at ordering some

Just be wary it does at stink (cleaning fluidesqe) for a few days after so I'd make sure you plan it in when you won't have your child in the car for a while.

I've used a few diffrent products but the best ive found is the AutoSmart range BRISK EXTRA or BRISK EXTRA LOW FOAM for fabrics and LEATHER CLEANER followed by LEATHER SUPPLEMENT, its allways brought up my cars to a high standard.

Had it when they first released it didn't rate it one bit, its not going to repel dirt etc, as said Autosmart brisk Lo Foam and you would cheaper using scotchgard if you wanted it to repel any spillages

i just used autogylm interior shampoo, it brought them up well, then protected them with an aerosol protectant from lidl.

Thought baking soda was meant to do the job quite well? I will be putting wolfs chemical's, fabric guard on once I have them all clean!
