Another Maxidot issue

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

Sorry to post another maxidot issue, but I haven't found an answer to my problem. Typing this from Finland and I own a 2007 pre-fl Octavia Rs (2.0TFSI). I wanted to retrofit maxidot, so I bought a new instrument cluster from Skodateile. It was this particular dashpod: http://www.skodateil...|Octavia II(A5)

My dealer now tells me that after installation the actual maxidot lcd is blank. Don't know really how to describe it other than that. The back light will come on, but it will show no data. Furthermore, they said that the dashpod is made in 2010 and for FL Octavia not Pre-FL. Any thoughts? Everything else works but the lcd.

Thanks in advance!

The dash is not for a facelift, there is something wrong with it. There is a ribbon cable that connects the maxidot to the circuit board, this could have come out.

That's what I told them as well but they insisted that it was for a FL model, even though it accepted the coding and everything else was working. I was just wondering maybe there was a tick in the wrong place. I'll send it back to Skodateile asking them to replace it.
