Are you asking or providing a tip?

WD40 is just a dirt attract agent. And as you state pain if you get on paint or glass.

I just use autoglym trim products which are great

Sent from my Galaxy S3.

Cant see WD40 being much use at all. Meguiars tyre gel buffed off works fine for me.

WD40 is a very bad idea. At least regular silicon spray is slippy...

Gtechniq C4Bis your best bet.

or you could spray them with an flexible vinyl paint and finshes them of with a couple coats of lacquer

I use autoglyn bumper care green gel stuff on the outer trims

Comes up lully

That's the stuff i use, it is great....

Want to try this but is it really worth the £30? :)

None of the treatments offer anything more than a temporary solution. It's all money wasted over basic silicon spray, imo, especially since most are silicon based. But then again, I have lots and lots of silicon spray, all for free. :giggle:

Not sure on what's in the compound for the GTechnic stuff, but from what I have seen of the results, and water, it's definitely got some level of silicon going on. As for the 'bonding' rubbish, it's just a fancy way of saying it's melted the surface of the plastic. The oxidisation will still come back soon enough.

I used fresh lemon juice in a bottle from tesco

On a micro fibre cloth rub in then buff off. Easy cheap.

Wd40 is just covering it up not cleaning it and as said will make more **** stick to it.

Just look at the reviews buddy, I've used a lot of stuff and I'm moving over to Gtechniq as there products seem unbeatable. Have a look on detailing world, Rob who runs/owns the company is on there.

I use a hot air gun (obviously take the plastic off the car first). You've just got to be careful not to burn it. Did mine nearly a year ago and still looking black.
