I have a set of these fitted to my Monte, I had the refurbished and painted Anthracite, and I use the for winter boots. I definitely find the ride a lot better than the standard 17" rims. I fitted them with 195/50R16 tyres as that was the closed rolling radius to the existing 205/40R17.

I'll see if I can find a photo of the car with them fitted.

Search Ebay for "16" alloys VW" and then sort by distance nearest, and "used"

Subsitute VW for AUdi, Skoda, Seat etc and something should pop up suitable. Just be aware of the tyres you need, so possibly bare alloys will be better so you can buy the right size rubber.

I can't find a recent one, this was before I managed to find and modify some Skoda centre caps.
