VW RCD510

Featured Replies

Hi all. Was about to start looking for a Bolero but the VW RCD510 version seems to be much easier to get hold of. Does anyone know the differences (if any) between this and a Bolero? Take it that it'd be a simple swap for a Stream (I'd need to upgrade the gateway too).

Cheers

Dave

its the VW version of the Bolero, so its exactly the same. Some RCD-510's have DAB radio, but its quiet rare.

You will need a replacement facia for the Octavia since the RCD-510 is a different shape to the Octavia Bolero.

Ah, wasn't aware of the fascia thing. Think I'll just hold out for a Bolero maybe...

Doesn't the VW version also have different colour lighting on the buttons?

Phil

Also if you fit a bolero in place of a stream don't need a new facia.

Hi, i am in process of switching out radio Swing for VW RCD510 and realise the facia of 2010 Octavia II FL with climatronic is tapered. Where can i order suitable facia to fit RCD510 snugly?

Thank you
