Ah I see. The bootlid hasn't actually been shortened, but the plate recess has been alterered to a smaller size?

It still looks a bit odd though. Would have been better to have it exactly the right size for the plate.

Yeah your right diffrence to that to mine is I've bought a plate to take it exactly to the edge of where it's being shortened so will have around 5mm either side so nice and tight that's if a go square as above of oem lines
