VRS interior cleaning

Featured Replies

What methods and products do you guys recommend for interior cleaning?

This foul snow is making a right mess of my car. A huge chunky of snow fell onto the drivers seat and I've now got dirty brown water marks on the white material.

There are numerous other bits on the door cards and carpet that are offending me each time I get in.

When this stupid now buggers off, I'll be attacking the interior big time!

Nathan.

Autoglym interior shampoo works well on the VRS interior. However the stupid white carpet is a pain. So I went from this.

Much easier to keep clean.

Does it work on the seats and door cards too? Just realised that there is a big patch of oil on the white bit of the door that was most certainly not there before it went into the garage :(

Yeah works well on seats and door cards. Don't be scared to use plenty of hot water and a clean sponge and agitate foam into cloth.

Depending on how you get on with the AG Interior Shampoo, if you have access to a Wet Vac and a steamer you will make much quicker progress..........:)

Chemical Guys Fabric clean is probably the best product i have used to date... dilute it to your desired strength and then apply using a spray bottle or via a bucket and sponge... work it in and then wipe it up.

As Baker21 said, a wet vac (to extract the water / soap) is the best but it you dont have one or access to one then lots of MF cloths or towels.

Fabric clean diluted to 10:1 with water makes a really good interior cleaning spray too... smells nice as well ;)

Thanks all, I'll hopefully attack it this weekend, but there is potentially yet more dirty rotten snow coming :(

I used this on mine and came up great. My method with the wet vac was. Spray on cg fabric clean - scrub with a megs brush - rinse out solution with water through the vax - suck out any left over water with the vax without any water in the tank.

Only problem is a year on and it needs doing again. :( This time i'll be adding a protective product as suggested above.

Got myself some AG Interior Shampoo today and had a quick go at the interior and door cards. The oil seems to have come off and the carpet has come up nice again.

I would have spent a bit more time on it, but I was interrupted by some reprobate in a massive, shiny R36 turning up at my house and then proceeding to scare me half to death! You know who you are... :giggle:
