so i got my new alloys but need some longer wheel nuts ..think the ones i have at the moment are 27 mm ..these ones are 40 mm ...are they alright ?

Tash get your original wheels and measure the length of the thread protruding through the wheel, after this measure the same nut through the new wheel, you can then work out which length you require

The bolt/stud hole seating on them look from the picture like they are chewed up from the wrong type of Bolts or nuts being used on them previously.

Do the bolts you have now seat properly into the holes?

I know they are too short but do they seat properly when tried?

Have you bought these wheels and tyres ready to go on, are the tyres all OK,

what size are the tyres, and what are the wheels?

They'll not fit without getting the centre bore made bigger. Then you'll need to see if the bolts needed are tapered or radius seated.

they have been tried on the car with the wheel nuts now and were fine ..there 15's

What Subaru,

do they have a 56.1 Centre Bore, maybe 42-50 ET

while your car is a 57.1 Centre Bore?

Have you had the rears on to see if they seat OK on your rear Drums,

if you car does have drum brakes?
