Sorry if this come across as alittle "chavy" im not honest, i just thought i would give the vrs alittle bit more ooomph

Ive decided to give my octavia alittle "tweak" so soon ill be looking for somewhere to do a remap as im under the impression it makes alot of difference to the power delivery? (new to this)

Now to the chavy bit? im considering a forge blow off valve, but as my experience is of the 2 wheel variety (most of which dont have turbo's and none ive ever seen with a bov) i have little real world knowledge of these. I know how they work (equalising the pressure in front and behind the turbo effectively allowing it to free wheel when the throttle is closed), what im worried about is potential problems if any this will cause? so if you have done it i would apprieciate any feed back you can give.

A long time friend and impreza adict swears by them, and he atleast has had no side efects.

Oh and i do like the sound... i know its generally associated with a 1.2 nissan micra with a 12 inch exhaust lol... but so are 18 inch alloys... and im not avoiding them either

A set of turbo hoses are already on there way, and i might go for some kind of induction upgrade at some point.

I bought a cheap dump valve off eBay the other week but I've been too scared to fit it incase I've bought something that'll actually make the engine perform worse. Would appreciate some light on the matter.

from what i understand is that has to be a recirc else the ecu will threw a wobbley, there is a kit on forge for £166 but i dunno if thats worth paying, need some answersXD

Posting it here will attract appropriate attention anyway so I wouldn't worry about that.

Thinking about getting a shark remap for my car (Yes, even though it is derv)

The usual upgrade is the OE revision "d" diverter valve.
