L&K

Featured Replies

Just wandering if I was in the market for a Octavia what is the difference between a L&K and the other Octavia

L&K is fully specced out with leather and such.

leather, xenons (depending on age of car), memory seats etc all the toys. I had three before I jumped ship to Yetis.

hello

i have a l&k 1.8 tsi as said before it as a lot of extras a lovely car sometimes i think its too good for me !!

I have a 2012 1.8 tsi L&K.

My spec also includes electric memory seats and wing mirrors. It has front and rear parking sensors but front was one of two additions I made - the other was a space saver spare wheel. It also has front heated leather seats, indispensable in the last few weeks. Mine has a DSG gearbox which quite frankly seems to be getting smoother as the car unwinds from its new state.

The only things missing were things I'm not into such as (SATNAV) and audio gizmos. Its spec matched Audi and BMW equivalents on the A4 and 320 - only difference they were £10,000 more in a new car!!

Ouch. 10k?

Well you didn't say new, used or what age and all the info is freely available on the Skoda site and via the brochure you can download there.

So it seemed daft to waste time typing it all up when you can get it from there any time you like... :)

Are you going to buy a Skoda then Seb?

I notice it says "if" I was in the market.

Well Richard I've always had skodas and for the last 27 years I've bought nowt but skodas, we are about too sell house and release some cash, the wife has now decided she wants too work as she has ad enough of bringing up kids and keeping the home nice n tidy,we will be going combat ( very rural) and therefore will require a second car but she wants the golf, so I will need another was thinking of a 4x4 but still hanker for a skoda, she won't have a skoda as she is convinced the vw is a better build?, I wouldn't buy a fabia again but an Octavia is a different kettle of fish,I've always wanted a vrs estate diesel or a L&K so she says ok but only if I'm prepared to move ;) she wears the pants here, I dod have the superb2 but was too big and the yeti doesn't appeal the Octavia is the best looking car in the marque IMO, also built well as the skodas used to be, not new i don't think as I saw how much new cars lost with my elegance fab and the golf, I probably will purchase an Octavia or a gtd golf but my heart says skoda Octavia L&K or vrs but my head says GTD golf

You are up near Snowdonia aren't you?

Sounds like you are going even more rural... :)

Have you thought of a Scout or the stock looking 4x4 model. Good compromise of a sensible car and all weather traction.

Or FWD is fine?

she won't have a skoda as she is convinced the vw is a better build?

Tell her that underneath, they are the same car......except the Czech factory that builds the Octavia has a better quality control record.

Also the Octavia scores higher in reliability surveys than both the Golf and Audi A3 despite the fact that they share the same platform.

Richard yes I've thought about the scout and I like the look of it , also won't have to buy the sx4 good call Richard ;)

Low annual mileage?

'Very' rural location?

Like the Octavia?

Deteriorating road conditions?

Not keen on the Yeti?

As above, the Octavia 4x4 fits the bill perfectly.

Like lots of toys?

Any chance of some off-roading to a point you'd benefit from increased ride height over the standard 4x4 and additional underbody protection?

Like the Audi Allroad look?

Prepared to pay a premium?

Get the Scout.

It is worth noting that brand new unregistered Scouts have all but gone since they stopped making them in preperation for the MkIII.

Still several nearly new ones floating about though!

You tell her ! She'll kick the ****e out of you

LOL..........A Bit spirited is she!!? All the same, I think I'll leave it to you to break it to her.

Aye just behind the hill so no chopper required lol

Feel free to tell her the Octy, Golf, Beetle, Jetta, TT, A3 and Leon all share the same platform, just built in different plants.

Pick a shape you like. :)
