I know i have seen it mentioned on here many times, but just cant find it. what is the tool and size needed for the rear caliper carrier. (2008 vrs D). i've just done a botch repair on the rear backing plate for now. I can get the caliper off, disc semi off, enough to get behind it to get to the torx screws, and put some washers in it to stop the brake backing plate falling on the disc and banging every time the rear suspension moves.

You need an M14 spline bit, people say renew the bolts too but Skoda parts department told me nobody ever does. Anyway good luck getting them out, they are torqued to 190 nm plus a 90 degree turn.

Pay someone, not worth the hassle. My indy complained that they were a total pig to get off and he had a ramp.
