hi tiamaria,

i'm travelling up to teeside in a fortnights time in my fabia vrs and hoping i can do the trip on a tank full (brimmed) 50 litres, so you have thrown down a challenge to see how many miles to a full tank, can't wait. lol.

I thought a Fabia tank was 45 litres? Either way I think you'll just make it.

no dan4291,

i did to until recently, if you press the little black button/switch just inside the filler neck using the fuel nozzle you can squeeze in an extra 5 lts, its the expansion gap in the tank, this button/switch is pressed when you screw the diesel cap back on, heard of brimming the tank, this is how its done. fill tank to the top then press this button, you will hear a hissing sound, then keep putting fuel in the neck and do the same thing again until you cannot put in anymore, from diesel light on and with 70 miles left in tank can squeeze in 50 litres at the most or put 45 litres in and slowly put 1-2 litres in and go from there. give it a go.
