Help with finding certain power source help - Basic electronics

Featured Replies

I need to find a feed that goes to the puddle lights, ideally near the foot wells or the centre console

Can anybody point me in the right direction for this or help explain what other wire does the same thing.

In a nutshell im wiring up some LED's that i want to come on with the puddle light

Could spend hours tracing wires ect but im sure someone on here could help me with very little words :)

Cheers guys

You'd have to run it from the B pillars and back to the front, but you could go direct from the switches for the interior light. They'd switch off when you close the doors then too.

Just splice into the wire behind the door card that is already going to your RED door light.

Thats basically what i mean pal but instead of taking the split from inside the door card, i want to find where that feed is on the inside of the car if you know what i mean :)

....

cant you take the door card off and follow the wires back as far as possible?

What are you trying to wire up, puddle lights or footwell lights?

Footwell lights go to to CECM

Puddle lights go to the door controllers.

Foot well light but with ye same feed as ye puddle lights

The puddle lights arnt just linked to the door controllers as when you park up your car at night and take key out of the ignition, the puddle lights come on before opening the door

Just need to know where this feed is on the inside of the car
