On Sunday I attended BMW

Rockingham:

The greatest motorsports facility in the country and it's just been bought by a property developer...

Nuffin wrong with beemers in my book. Commitment to RWD is admirable.

Good review :D

It's a good car, just overpriced unfortunately. Not driven RWD for ages, must admit it would make me a tad nervous not getting trained up on how to 'catch it' if it were to overstep the limits ;)

Excellent review. I like BMW's a lot - and pence per mile wise there isn't a lot beween Skoda and certain BMW's, however not everyone, including me, can afford the high asking price. However - they do get cheaper than

Yeah, but then you always those nice to have little extras, like wheels, seats, windows, a radio, a cd player.......

That's what pushes the price up :(

Pretty i think. Kit looks well -

The residuals will be very good indeed. I can assure you, every model will be good news - even the misserable compact managed to keep their prices up !!

Say happy 5th b-day to this 316 Compact !

Rockingham, I want a day there at some point, for us to exceed 70 ;)

It was a really good day and rockingham's track is very nice to drive on. The "ONE" is a very nice car and I'm guessing if I had the money or was in the Golf/A3 market it would be top choice as it is really a drivers car.

Only thing is, now I want a RWD car as they are such a hoot to drive, I just dont know why it's taken me so long to find this out :o

ah-ha, wondered why there were literally *hundreds* of BMW's at Rockingham when I went there friday for a bike track day. I saw at least 4 M3 CSi copues, 6 M3 coupes and 2 of the new V10 M5's.

Daz

ps yes, Rockingham is a nice little track (national circuit) bit too twisty really, hard work especially when it's 28 deg and humid

How can you call the Series1 Pretty????????

Do you need a white stick? They are frickin' horrible and they're a BMW

flatfourburble: Did the one you test drove have indicators????

yes it was a fully kitted one with all the options on the list ticked! :P

I wouldn't call it pretty but it is a nice looking car with the dynamics (sp?) pack fitted

Cooperman - it was an event all over the Bankholiday weekend so that's probably why indeed, also rockingham use BMW's and is sponsered by BMW
