I had to take out the drivers side door lock barrel . Decides to de lock now as the barrel is smooth as a baby's bottom. I found this piece loose in the door . Can anyone advise where it should go?

Can anybody confirm if this has anything to do with the lock or lock barrel please?

If this ever happens to you the easiest way to do this is to remove door panel, remove door handle and take out the single screw that holds the inner handle in place. Much easier to put the ring back into position off this car believe me, I spent 3 hours trying to do it last night!
