Picking up Black Magic VRS on Tues!

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm Oli.

Just thought I'd introduce myself, I've recently traded in my Citroen DS3 THP 155 for a brand new VRS Fabia.

Ordered a stock one with Cruise and all black with black pack and black alloys.

Pic's up soon..

If you guys need any unbiased comparisons between the two cars, let me know!

Picking it up tuesday! Its nice to meet everyone!

Welcome to the jungle. :hi:

Sure you'll enjoy your vRS,it's a great car for the money.

You may find that most folks on here live by the general rule "Avoid French cars"....but if you find your Citroen was better in some respects than a Skoda then we'll try to live with it.

Welcome. Good colour choice.

The vRS is a great little car which will put a smile on our face. Only problem I have found with this forum is that it costs me money for all the mods I never bothered with before but am constantly tempted by via the threads on here. Latest one is an in car camera, although that is mostly driven by the terrible standard of driving around by me!

Jealous, mine's still on order.

When did you order yours?

Just keep a eye on the oil level. I'm sure ill love it

Welcome and enjoy your new toy LOL.

Ron.

I have often thought of the citroen DS3.... I like the looks, but every citroen I have had has broken down, and the DS3 seems to be expensive for what it is.... you will probably find the skoda more reliable (of course you may not have had any issues with your DS3!) the dealers are generally good, the vRS will be faster than the DS3, and "feel" even quicker due to the lightning gearbox.... the DS3 will probably handle better than the vRS (citroen tend to get get it right "out of the box" its easy to make the vRS better though, a decent set of tyres, and a RARB are the best things to go for if you find the handling lacking in comparison..

enjoy your car! (I would suggest you drive it "normally" from new and don't baby it, they tend to run in better that way, as said above keep your eye on the oil level , and check it when warm! some people have oil issues, I never have had (44k now) ,but even mine used 1 litre in the first 10k, then nothing between 10k and 44k)

Cheers for the warm welcome. :) I ordered it about two weeks ago but it was in stock in Germany so they shipped it over straight away. Saw it in the dealer service area the other day without plates and all the wheel caps etc ready for its pre reg inspection. Got really excited! In regards to the ds3, yeah you are correct, brilliant handling, brilliant equipment levels and brilliant style but unfortunately, the rattles, shoddy build and engine put me off as it was a quick little thing and packed a punch but I was to scared to go near a remap, as its a fragile engine standard!

Plus, don't worry I will bed the engine in with some enthusiasm! Got about 30 mile drive home to get her started! :)

The ds3 was definitely a more warm hatch. Plus I always missed having rear doors! So that's a plus!
