fabia vrs timing issuse

Featured Replies

hi all

i have a skoda fabia 1.9 vrs. It has just started to have a few missed heart beats of power when i put my foot on the accelerator this mainly happens in 4th at 40 ish mph. Any ideas? thanks.

I have used BKK to clean the injectors but not worked..

sounds like a dmf/clutch fault rather than timming, dont floor it in 4th and 40mph, drop a gear

What year is your car?

My first thought was the BLT engine hesitation.

hi hutchyrs

its 2006. its not just 4th its happening. in the old days i would a bit of air in the carbaretor but not with these new cars. staring to thing a pipe might have a split? whats the BLT anyway? cheers

It's the engine code.

Thanks Avalon, As he has already said, BLT relates to the engine code fitted with your car. The earlier Fabia vrs came wih an ASZ engine code roughtly between 2003 - 2006 and then in 2006 - 2008/9 They fitted a different engine with the code BLT.

It could well be your problem, Its fixed by fitting an extra gasket to the egr valve system. It's probably worth you searching the forum for somthing like "BLT Hesitation"

Even in the old days, diesel engines didn't have a Carburettor!
