hi i wonder if any one can help me i have an octavia 2 1.9 pd i have got no dash lights and car wont start i have checked fuses and fuses 1-6 have no live to them if i jump a live to them the dash lights come back on and the cars starts but car wont turn off while the jump wire is in place any ideas????????????

ps cant get it plugged in as one of the fuses that are dead is the diagnostics port

that happened to me last year it was a faulty relay switch.

Think it was 409relay switch behind the pannel over the obd socket you could hear a clicken noise from it

hi thanks for replying i have had a look but i cant find a 409 relay

sorry just checked its 460 relay switch there should be about two of them try switching them about

thank you chaps it was a combination of relay 460 and the small earth lead under the battery all sorted now thank you once again to those who took the time to reply
