Where is OBD connector located in Felicia 1.3 "Classic"

Featured Replies

I have a W reg 1.3 Skoda Felicia. Does it support OBD type diagnotics? Where would I find the OBD connector on/in the vehicle.

Thanks for any info,

Roger

Hi, and welcome to Briskoda :)

If I recall, it should be on the lower section of the dashboard, roughly where your right shin is.

Hi RainbowFire,

Thanks for the welcome and advice.

I found the connector where you siad but it is partially obscured by the lower fascia and is un-usable. I would need to remove the whole dashboard unless I make a cut-out in it myself.

I am loathe to make a cut-out as I cannot believe Skoda would build this so it cannot be used, unless it could not be used!

I assume it may have been introduced in preparation for future builds but not fitted in my car. OBD was only mandatory in 2001 in Europe {so I have read}.

I wanted to do a throttle body adaptation after a clean but I will now try the battery removal overnight technique and hope that it works!

Thanks,

Roger

if you take out the right hand air vent, you can use a long screwdriver to access the mounting screws for the little plastic shroud that holds the obd connector, once its out you can use unclip it from the plastic brackety thing

I've never had a problem with the OBD connector on a Felicia, I've had one or two where they've been pushed up a bit which just required them to be pulled down a little.

Ditto

you can just bend it back down or just undo screws under dash and pull bottom of dash for a bit more acess
