Wiper blades replaced

Featured Replies

Mine arrived Thursday fitted that day, simple job both fitted both from the same side in service position saved a walk round the car  .

Was very grateful for the new blades when we had to come down to your part of the world on Saturday, rain snow and bl@@dy cold wind off the sea, kept a eye out for your yeti but you must have been sitting at home in the warm :D , there was a white 12 plate one in the NCP car park, but I was still trying to recover after paying £18 :@ for 4 hours parking to look round the back to see the spec.

That wasn't mine Kev, Ivor has a '60' plate.

If you'd have notified us, we would have invited you in for some HOT yea

If you're ever down this way again, be sure to let us know. :p

I've send you a PM with contact details.

I cannot believe how long some people leave their wipers before replacing them!! On average I seem to replace mine evey 9 months, or as soon as they start to leave too many streaks. And I invariably

  • Mine fail;ed early jan, replaced with Valeo blades all round, - so far no vibrations etc - however i'm in france and Valeo(French company??) rule!!

  • I've never had a wiper tear on the Yeti.

Autoglass are giving Bosch aero blades away free if you have a chip repaired or a new windscreen,

Not good if you haven't got a chip but for those who have get booked in for new free Bosch aero blades.

My Yeti is still on the original wiper blades it was delivered on in August 2011 and 73,000 miles ago.

I cannot get over how long people use wiper blades for!!

I replace mine about every 9 months, or as soon as they start leaving streaks on the screen (and my screen is RainX coated)!!

I have Carlack (similar to RainX) on my windows and find the passenger side tends to streak a little (easy Bobdog - that's the wiper, not the passenger) so I plan on changing it soon. That's only after 9000 miles/9 1/2 months. I've rarely kept the same blades on longer than a year or so.

No Squeaks or streaks, they work as good as when I go the Yeti

Ordered. Thanks for the link.

Nice find there John, but that blade doesn't fit the Yeti :(

Not true MacD - the (A282H) does fit the Yeti. Mine arrived just 48hrs after ordering, (in an enormous box that would have taken 20 of the things!) it clipped straight into the arm, and looks exactly the same as the original.

OK, it does say Golf Mk 6 & Polo on the box, but it's identical in all other respects to the Yeti's 11" original blade.

The original factory wiper blades gave up the ghost a month back; or at least the nearside did with a separation of part of the wiping blade. Not bad I suppose, they had survived 20 months and 26k of motoring.

Replaced them with an after-market Bosch Aerotwin A980's pack at £16.99 delivered from fleebay.

Thought I'd post this, as so far the Bosch product is proving just as good as the factory set-up and about half the dealer RRP. Oh and they are a straight out of the box fit; no messing about with multi fittings.

Anyone know why these have now gone up to 54.03? (Sorry cant find the UK pound sign on my laptop :wall: )

Of course I need a pair now they have gone up! I'll look elsewhere, methinks.

They must have sold quite a few of them, supply vs demand but at that price clearly they are being sold to a buyer group restricted to those who don't like money. . I'd rather bungie my cat to a wiper to clear the screen than pay that.

Note: I would NEVER bungie a cat to the wipers, just expressing how much I would not purchase these blades at £54. No harm has come to any feline regarding hairy mammal based windscreen clearing product testing with regard to this post. Has anyone even tried to find or even catch a cat in sub-zero temperatures at 6:00am when I leave for work? Me neither

I noticed this price jump as well, but there is another UK seller with a better feedback record selling the same Bosch blades at £18.95 per front set, just scroll though Yeti wiper blades till you find them.

He had 43 left after I bought mine.

Thanks Bob for the recommendation. I got them!

After cleaning my windscreen there seemed no difference when using the washers it just appeared smeared.

Inspected and thoroughly cleaned the blades they didn't look worn or degraded but no improvement so I invested in a new set.

WOW! what a difference,
