I have a 2007 estate which the cruise control just won't even turn on.

I have no idea why it has stopped working and as we commute long distances from Germany it is getting very annoying.

Any ideas?

There's a known fault with the switch. It's easily fixed by taking it apart and cleaning the contacts with contact cleaner. Happened to me, took 5 mins to clean and no issues since.
