Tyre wear

Featured Replies

I have just returned from 25 laps of the Nordscleife in my vRS & after having a Revo mod the difference in tyre wear is frightening. Handling was OK on standard tune but now I have noticed that the right front tyre has lost the makers name on the side wall. Major understeer. I think it is the torque in 3rd out of slow corners where the car turns into a squealmobile. I'll have to stiffen up or I will be through to the canvas before the tread wears out.

Incidentally, I had the joy of overtaking the entire Civic R club who where there on a trip.

Track use will wear those tyres out very quickly.

Can imagine the standard suspension would be pretty awful on a track, it's not that great when you give it some welly in corners on the road.

Coilovers perhaps?

Must have been great fun driving past Civic Rs :D;)

Had more fun going past Dodge Viper, Lotus Elise, Porsche GT3 RS. Track knowledge is everything!

Took a Briskoda member out for a lap. Carsten?

Problem with tyre wear is that main tread has 6mm of tread left but I am so far over on the sidewall that where it should say Continental it doesn't anymore.

Must have been great fun driving past Civic Rs :D;)
