Started preparing my fabia for an enduro rally on the 2nd march. Here are a few pics, waiting for the rollcage now.

Interesting. Whats involved in the rally and is a 1.4 MPI a good shout for it? (not sure if its a budget thing you know?)

its very cheap to do, in the event coming up you do 53 forest miles and 60 road miles, for £250 cant go wrong really considering a stage rally on uses 45 miles and is £500 to do. the car will owe me around £700 when its done (that includes buying the car for £420)i went for the 16v as it is one of the most power full 1.4 engines being around 100bhp (the same as every one else who seems to be using 100bhp k series mgzr). But a 1.4 mpi should be ok but might be a bit under powered in the forestry.

Basically you have to use standard cars, max cc is 1400 petrol or 2.0 diesel no turbo's, no engine or gearbox mods allowed and just a basic roll hoop with back stays, sumpguard and tank guards.

Luke and I are just going to do a few of the events for now to see how it goes and maybe do the championship next year, they seem good value for the mileage and seat time compared to stage rallies and nowhere near as much set up cost in the car etc, we are even keeping standard front seats just using 4 point harness's and disconnecting the airbag controller lol

Looks like a 16v to me :p
