HID's problem :s

Featured Replies

Hey guys, just fitted some 8000k HID's and when i start my car after a couple of hours and turn the lights on, they flicker really bright then go fairly dim for a while? Im assuming they take time to warm up?

Also - now when i have my lights on, the bulb light is always on but none have blew.. it goes when you turn full beam on, but when you turn full beam off it comes on again..

Any help is much appreciated...

Cheers! -ell

HIDs take a few seconds to warm up before they get bright.

As for the bulbs light that could be the canbus system.

8000K? Ugh! Is that in the normal reflector lamps too?!

HIDs do flash on quite bright, dim and then get brighter.

Yep! Haha, they were only 17 quid, and alright then im guessing it must be the canbus or whatever haha..

the further you go mate the worse the lighting performance is, sunlight is something like 3200k, I have 5000 and they have a slight blue tint but give the best lighting performance but as you say for 17 quid, they might scatter a bit more too.

You fixed your blsck smoke problem yet?

I have some in mine no light and were 30 quid irc.

Btw if anyone mentions legality I know, I can't be bothered dragging this thread down.
