Hi guys,

whilst driving up the A34 i had the amber engine light come on and stay on, since this has come on i have not noticed any performance drop or any fault codes on the dash but when starting her this morning i did notice the secondary air pump was not working but was still reving like it would when the pump is on. would this be the course for the light coming on? and also how important is this to be working ie can i still drive it around without harming anything else? my car is a 03 mk1 VRS Octy

If it's thrown a CEL, there should be associated fault codes in the computer; VCDS time.
