I assume that your looking to source a Bi-Xenon Head Lamp for your Superb and not a Halogen version?

I've just had to do this with mine (halogen) and the cheapest brand new from ECP was £185. I got one from a breaker's yard for £40 but it was all smokey-dirty on the inside so now my passenger side light looks like it's tinted :think:

I think I'll just get the driver's side actually tinted to match

thanks folks . yes its a bi-xenon.its crazy i only need the spring that holds the low beam bulb in who ever owned it before me put a makeshift spring in and it wont go back on no matter what i try.{small apace big hands} skoda tell me i cant get a spring that the headligh comes with the spring at a cost of 260 euro.

@tdi1.9 thanks for that info , might have to go that direction as all the breakers i rang dont have one. i,m in ireland by the way.

@dieselv6 your spot on , but i went to skoda here in ireland and they said it can not be got and a new headlight was the way to go. any idea where they are selling this part? thanks a million for the info.

found it on a german site for 3.50 euro but they wanted 31 euro for posting lol

This might be more of a palaver than just getting a £100 headlight, but have you thought about taking the one out of the other side to get the measurements from, then looking on a spring suppliers website for an approximate match (although i'm not quite sure how you'd measure springy-ness).

As you don't actually need a working headlight, just the spring, might be worth checking scrapyards for ones with broken lights as they'll be cheaper than a secondhand one that works?

I know this might be seen as profiting from someone else's bad luck but......another option might be to look at the post on here about the poor guy with his cab being written off, looks like he might have a spare spring in his passenger headlight...

I would phone another dealer and ask again. The part is still on the system and likely to be there till 2018. Or ask someone in the UK. Or get that german site to send it cheaper, it is a small component, a jiffybag letter probably would do.

Isn't this spring part of the ignitor assembly? It's actually a Belleville washer I am thinking off...

If you do a search on ebay something like Hella Bixenon Ignitor (or Ballast) they are only around £20 plus delivery.
