Hi All,

been following some topics and getting lots of hints and tips for a while since i bought my motor late last year.

I have now got to the point of asking my first bit of help!

My VRS suddenly sounds like its got a dump valve, its only recently happened and i have no loss of power or boost.

Its hissing at around 2500+ revs and when i change gear and it drops revs

To help i tried to take a video of it happening this afternoon. it sounds quiet in the video but hopefully you get the jist

Sounds like a slight boost leak?

+1 on boost leak somewhere.

jiggle all the charge pipes. also check the BOV (or whatever you poms call it) to make sure its not leaking or the diaphragm isn't damaged or stuck

Is your air filter box fully closed?

I had a similar question a while ago and turned out to be normal sound of waste gate but was freezing cold air and panel filter in. Advice on here and trip to dealers. Mine is a CR though and was on lift off from lower revs also.

I can't remember which members this is on here but it sounds nuts lol

Sorry took so long! Below is the link, it actually starts lower than I said around 1700revs.

Im no pro under the bonnet but not afraid to have a look around, can someone point me in the direction of a vers service manual??
