low boost vrs

Featured Replies

hi guys,

bought my 1st vrs - it seems a bit sluggish - so i downloaded an app on my phone that links with my obd device and it can show me boost pressure.

you can feel the car hold back after an initial surge and its settling anywhere between 5-6psi - im sure i read these should sit at 10 psi?

does anyone one have an example of what the boost curve should look like?

cheers

chris

5 6 is low no eml light? you could do with getting the car logged with vagcom , could be number of things might even be running in limp mode

torque

Don't trust it for boost I can't get it too match what my boost gauge or VCDS says. it's ok for temps etc, but it seems to struggle with boost.

it feels very sluggish and you can feel the boost drop back quite a bit

sounds dv related

Just swapped dv for known good one. Still the same. The hoses all seem to be ok too

Might be worth checking the pipe under the inlet manifold. Mine had same issue as yours and it was a slight crack in the pipe.

Sorry to drag up an old post but I have exactly the same issue as this and still cant resolve it. Did u find the problem in the end?
