Cruise control retrofit in FL..?

Featured Replies

Hello Folks

Has anyone retrofitted cruise control system in a FL...??? My car is a 2011 FL TDI CR..... Are the wiring diagrams of cruise control wire running from steering module to engine ECU is the same as in a pre-FL.....??? Because I don't Know the pin Numbers of steering module and the engine ECU, where the wire has to be connected. Help of any sort would be thoroughly considered.....

yes

first find out what controller you have

there are 2 types

that end 549 or 569

Once you know you can check which combi stalk you require and if you need a new module

most cars will have the wire

My car has 5K0 953 569G steering module and it supports CCS. but how would I know whether the wire is present or not...???

I have looked at the PR codes for the 5K0953569G and there were none for cruise

Try it first and if it doesn't work then use a 5K0953569H

For the wire, it should be in pin 5 (black and white wire)

I had cruise control retrofitted to my FL Octavia II 1.8 TSI last year. The car has MFD rather than maxidot. The original steering column combi switch (ie double stalk assembly) PN 5K0 953 502L was replaced with PN 5K0 953 502N. The existing electronic module for steering column PN 5K0 953 569C is a midline variant and did not need replacing.
