DOEs anyone know if Lupo cup holders would fit into an 05 VRS? THere the type that fit into a Din socket. one half is a tray, the other is a cup holder. part no. = 6X0 857 558 A.

Has anyone tried this themselves already?

Just taken delivery of this unit, (upper tray above 2 x cup holders), and it certainly is a sturdy piece of kit.

Question : How do I remove the original open tray/cubby from my Furby vRS dashboard ? Bet it's dead simple - once you know how..........I don't, so any help would be appreciated.

... and yes, you DO have to remove the stereo since despite there being clips at each end of open tray that you can release by pulling at both ends, the unit itself is higher at the back and won't clear the stereo if the latter's left in place.

Yep - good comment to add there DRJ/David as I got all the way to that point to find I couldnt finish the job. Majorly hacked off at that point but the dealer sorted it (FOC )

I bought the part above (part no. = 6X0 857 558 A) but it's got 2 little lugs sticking out that stop it sliding back into the slot! Any ideas?

05 Fabia VRS

Had stereo out, mechanic on standby but it just looks all wrong and the 2 lugs have no grooves to slide into in the sides of the chassis the other Din unit came out from.

Any help Pleeeeeeeeeeease!

I'm sure I've read somewhere that you need to shave off the 2 lugs.

Yes. I read that too. Shave !!

From having 'performed' that tweak myself - definitely need to come off. And as I didnt have the right tools (read: didnt have a saw of any description on me as I got hijacked for transporting SWMBO for babysitting) I ended up using a knife

With the right tools & the radio removed it's pretty easy to fit once the lugs are off, but when you put it back together try to make sure the wiring is not trapped
