does anyone have any details on the coil pack recalls? like a reference number etc that I could quote to Skoda - my local dealer are saying they havent heard of it?

My car is a 2005 vrs - assuming it will be eligible for new ones?

There is a mention somewhere in the thread ref a techi bulletin, but you should not need it as Skoda know all about it and they are fobbing you off if they don't.

Mention the Coil Pack Part Number 06B 905 115 "J". The end digit " " denotes the revision level.

The only ones which are still classed are serviceable are version "R" and "D".

A, F, G, H, J, L and N all need replacing

Can easy check your for the Part number or get dealer to.

I just phoned my local skoda dealer and asked if my car had any outstanding recalls (I didn't mention any specific recalls).

There was only one and it was the coil packs.

I got them replaced, but I don't think there was anything wrong with my origianl ones to be honest.

FYI - This was only a couple of months ago.

I had my 04 vrs done two weeks ago i went in to the service desk and asked face to face, they put my car details on the system and said it was on the list to be changed and they did it two days later i had already checked my coils so they couldnt fob me off and they were all revision A worth checking what revision you have its the letter at the end of the long number you are looking for just unclip the conector and you will see said number and letter.on the top of the coil, some places can be difficult if your not a regular customer with a new car thats just bad service this is a skoda recall .

Ring up local dealership, give reg, they'll tell you if you're eligible or not!

Also this number was on the main lead going into the first main coil,is this right number or is it on the avtual coil,?

it was Durham - Pullman (Abbey Road) that did mine, I just asked if there was a recall on my car and they booked it in the following week, cant argue with the service either, it was that good they are doing my timing belt and water pump next week too,

thanks guys, i rang up westgate skoda (grimsby) very helpful people,told me to bring it in thursday for coil packs to be done.

just got mine done yesterday guys

Just had mine done today and boy you can tell the difference,mind you they did say my old ones were not brilliant,can also tell the difference using super unleaded. The service i received at Westgate skoda (Grimsby) was fantastic,served coffee as.soon as i got in.

Had mine done a few weeks ago at city skoda in basingstoke, just asked them if there was any outstanding recalls and they said yes coils packs, booked it in a week later done within the hour.
