How to fix this one?

Featured Replies

Came home last night to find my exhaust had dropped, but not twisted, meaning it wasn't at the decat again. My friend and me were trying to sort it out, pushing different parts to see if it lifted and then I noticed on the back box the hanger has broken and caused it drop. What is the best way to fix this?

Mig weld it,

A garage would charge about £20 tops

It's only a few mins work

know any welders who can tack one on for you?

Thought as much. Yeah, should have one who could sort it. Out of interest, underneath the second exhaust tube there is rust. Do you think that needs welding?

Would bother too much if its just surface rust, there's normaly loads of meat left.

If you have to grind it out and re weld it it'll cause you bother

Have just been offered a mk4 golf scorpion rear silencer, would it fit? I know there might be some length issue but I can get hold of more metal.

This happened on SWMBOs Leon, 10 minutes on the ramp with the welder and off we went good as new.
