Octavia TDI flashing outdoor temp symbol

Featured Replies

Hi,

Sometimes when driving the outdoor temp reading flashes and there is one audible bleep.. what is that ?

Then it goes back to normal again after a few seconds..

Thanks

Stephen

It's telling you the outside temp. has dropped to 4 degrees and the risk of ice.

thanks for that.. so I guess it happens when you start the engine as a warning.. or could it happen whilst I am driving too ..?

S..

It will happen while driving too.....if the temperature happens to drop below 4 degrees.

Yes, nothing gets my heart racing when you're driving along, when all of a sudden there's the BONG of DOOM!

Engine exploding? No more oil? Out of gas ALREADY?

Oh no, it's only 4 degrees outside...

:whew:

+2 Me too! Always scares me that bong!

+3! Would prefer a more subtle tone as it does induce immediate panic until I notice with relief it's just the temperature display.
