Forgive my ignorance, but would it be problematic fitting a shark fin from a Volvo S40 or a BMW 5 series to the Octavia?

After all, it'll just sit on the rubber seal anyway, right?

Can the roof shapes be so radically different?!

If imagine that even a small difference in roof shape would cause it not to sit right.

Also aren't the aerials powered? If so then that could cause problems

upgraded mine to the oem shark fin, plug and play and fits perfect.

^^ why not go for the standard one from Skoda or even look at the ones on the Superb (which I think are the same as the Audi A6). Guess it also depends what you are running off it - sat nav or just radio
