Well i fitted some new side lights (and we all know how much of a pain it is to change the bulbs in these) and it turns out they are Blue and not White...

They where in a bag of 8 ( we fitted the other 4 to the focus interior floor lights ) so i thought the others where white, apprently not.

Its my fault i should have checked when i fitted them. massive amounts of swearing where had when i turned them on to check.

I would like to know how many people hate them though out of interest to see if its just me who thinks this is the ultimate chav thing to do.

You should put some stickers on the door with all the makes of stuff you don't have just to finish it off, I hear that halfords also sell viper stripes too..... Get in.

I'll have to be honest and say they look quite bad, to blue for my liking anyway! Very boy racer-ish and degrading to the vRS :p

I got a set of side light bulbs off eBay with 5 SMD LED's on each, the output is more white with a blue tinge. My headlights are Philips Xtreme bulbs so the complete look is quite subtle without being OTT on the blueness.

My mate bought some for his Bora after I managed to fit them (total PITA) we tested them to discover they were blue like yours then I had to change them again :(

Bulbs look awful, so very jealous of both your yellow fabias though

They are a bit gash...a bit too blue for me TBH if they weren't quite so much then it wouldn't be so bad.....almost as bad as the yellow ones that came out the car, sorry but honesty is my policy.

Coincidentally I just put the £3 ones (delivered) from ebay.....frigging fantastic mate....pure white

If you need the link to them its in my fairly recent posts, only put them in today and was talking about them y/day....they come highly recommended for that money.

They are much better value in terms of making the car bright pound for pound than the "100% better" marketed bulbs....

Legality? Is that much of an issue with the white ones? Just be prepared to be pulled on them a bit - surely this is this less likely than bad Xenons ?

I don't really know what to expect myself, they seem bright and I've noticed LEDS looking bright on cars but normally in a minor discraction/observation of them sense rather than sheer blinding/dazzling sense.

If they are fitting them to new cars why the bloody hell shouldn't I fit them to mine (except for the fact they aren't type approved) ?

be different lol every one inc me has the white leds lol keep the blue be diff although they are slightly illegal and will attract unwanted attension

get pinks ones. all the car scene in america seems to be using pink or purple leds now interior the lot.
