Adjusting the windscreen sprayer

Featured Replies

Since I bought the car in november I've noticed that the sprayer was weak and didn't really cover the entire windscreen. I never gave it much thought, figured that they couldn't be adjusted anyways.

I sit pretty far back in the car so I didn't notice until yesterday that they actually CAN be adjusted, and that the drivers side nozzle was aimed way too high causing the top of the spray pattern to hit the underside of the bonnet. I had to actually lean forwards, look down and pull the stalk to notice this.

Just a friendly tip. :)

Yup, they can indeed.

There's a slot for screwdriver hidden on the side of the jet.

It took me a little while to find it.

It's a much better way of doing it though.

I can remember spending ages jiggling a pin in the nozzle to get the aim right. :(

On my L&K 2009 model the jets are adjustable by hand. You just have to move them very little at a time. A bit trial and error as the jet will be different with speed compared with standing still. Trying to adjust them at speed is not recommended on health and safety grounds!!

Is there any way to actually adjust the spread of the fan type jets? I can tilt mine up and down but the coverage is always poor.
