Did a Stupid thing with the battery

Featured Replies

Hahaha, I'll never forget a hopeless electrician at work one day, standing on a ladder, up at the consumer unit, there was this almighty bang behind me, and when I turned round to see he was still standing on the ladder, but his snips no longer had jaws and were dripping.

Raging so badly, guy a trusted friend of mines, said that alternator is working great, fitted it to the car, bearing inside it was nackered, but turning it by hand was fine, so in search of an other again

You could always make one of two. Just swap the pulley, endframe and rotor in one hit. You'll probably need to poke a fine wire into the brush pack to prevent them springing out first though, otherwise, it ain't goin' back together.

To be hones't, I wouldn't have minded doing that if I knew it was goosed, but now I've put the car back together again I just wanna get something with a warranty and know is going to work so on the the look on eBay for a decent priced, new, 120a Alternator. as I'am running hids, and a sound system, and heating constantly. could get a cheaper alternator for £80 but I rekon it's only a 90a

120A alternator... there goes yer fuel economy then. :giggle:

Well, it will make a small difference anyway. Especially if you actually NEED the current.
