Phone Book Capacity Question?

Featured Replies

Thanks to some great help here I am now conected via bluettoth. Yeah. However I can't load my whole phone book.

I have an Iphone 4, connected to my work exchange account. I have 2,528 entres in my phone book in outlook. When I connect to the car it says downlaoding the phone book. It stops at approx 1821 entries. However when I go inot the contacts section on the touch screen it is only showing up to letter 'H' which is well inside the 1821 entries it says it has downloaded.

If there a capacity limit on contacts?

Thanks

I have over 800 and they all show from my blackberry. I have a Samsung s3 and 1 contact (at least - I haven't tried to call them all) doesn't ever appear in the phone book. I've even deleted them and re input them and still no joy.

Could be phone related. I think I have over 1800 contacts on the 3 phones that are paired to the car. So shouldn't an issue unless the pairing doesn't compete?

I found that either the BT module or the Columbus doesn't like certain symbols or characters in the contacts name, for example brackets. Once I renamed these contacts in my phone using A-Z (and a-z) and 0 to 9, I found they all appeared.

Aha. That might be it. I was trying to figure why some were and some weren't showing. Shall test tomorrow.

Thankyou so much.

Found out that the ones that weren't pairing with the car had +44 on the mobile numbers - have removed that and just added 0044 and all ok. That's been a pain for 8 months!

Not an issue for me with Iphone syncing. Can't quite figure out the issue but to be honest when in the car there are only about 5 numbers I need and have them synced so happy for now.

Found one today where I had 3 numbers stored under the persons name and as soon as I deleted one and went to 2 it came across. I think I am looking for needles in haystacks.....
