What colour is Yours?

Featured Replies

Well to add to the Drama of purchasing a new Silver leaf Citigo on the 1st March 2013. We received our V5C log book today and guess what its not silver its beige according to the DVLA. So has anyone else got a beige silver leaf (7B7B Skoda colour) Citigo. Or any other colour than the normal brochure ones?

Maybe I could flog it as a special Citigo. £25k anyone?

Not a special £25k Citigo. Have had a couple of Silver Leafs go out and the logbook does state beige, why beige, I have no idea, but understandably you can't have 2 cars in different colours showing the same colour on the lgbook.

It does have a tinge of cappuccino in it, but then in certain lights it has a bit of everything.

Main thing though, enjoy the car

Thanks PM,

We have sent off the log book to the DVLA with pictures of the car and will wait and see what happens. As you say the main thing is to enjoy the car and we are certainly doing that.

Yes my Silver Leaf show beige on the V5 as well.

Sunflower yellow, and the log book says.....Yellow. :sun:

Well I sent the Log book and some pictures of the better half's Silver leaf (7B7B) Citigo back to the DVLA to query the colour in the log book as it said beige. I got the log book back today and it is now officially Silver, yes you read it correct silver not beige. I wonder if anyone else would get the same response?

Will have to check when I get home but think ours is Beige as well...

In another note about the DVLA or the dealers regiristring cars Wrong, my 1.6 TDI Superb (non greenline) that I bought new in January came back as a greenline and it was bought from Henry's skoda, but my brother bought his new superb in March 2012 from the taxi centre they registered it as a normal 1.6 TDI you would think it was rocket science really they don't know how to put the correct colors and engine specs into the system

The biggest problem with all this incorrect data entry is when mr plod does a ANPR check and he doesn't get an answer he expects he will start getting interested.

Incorrectly defined engine types and ratings could affect insurance quotes, if you are not keeping an eye on what those quote engine sites suggest what your car is.

Sometimes the listings they use are not totally up to date, when we came to renew the insurance on the Yeti, many of the sites would not recognise the reg mark even though the car was 4mths old by then.

When I transferred our old cars insurance to our Citigo which was 5 days after registration we had no problems with the insurance Co. it popped up straight away

hmm - just done another search for my car 1 site not found, another offered me a 110 Yeti (its a 140!)
