Is the Ice Scraper guaranteed?

No windscreens were never replaced. The scraper cut through the outer layer of the windscreens leaving scratches that were especially visible whilst driving towards sunlight. Like I said previously having noticed the scratches on my first Octy I was more careful on my second but still it occurred. I've read other posts on the subject at the time ( 3 to 4 years ago) maybe Skoda have toughened their screens since. I've used the same generic ice scrapers for years on other manufacturers cars with no problems. But on my third Octy I've resorted to alcohol based sprays and waiting for the heater to clear the screen!

There is no way in heck that a plastic ice scraper is going to make it through 3mm of glass before you hit the laminate layer.
