Noticed several filling stations now have less premium pumps which makes life easier finding a normal pump.

Local shell now only has 4 pumps, local bp 2 (counting both sides) out of about 12.

Has anyone else noticed this?

possibly. The sellers are only going to promote what sells. I'd imagine there's a seasonal trend for premium fuels.

I've never had any problems . Little Furball loves any derv,be it from a haute couture filling station to a backstreet hand pump. I've found that she goes better on the supermarket stuff. I'm convinced that the engine is the product of an Aberdonian engineer, born of a Jewish/Yorkshire marriage . It loves anything thrifty .
