been thinking of getting some 19 ich alloys just hope they dont rub the arches

lots of octavias running 19"s. they won't rub if you get the right width/offset.

Which is what?? I've been offered a set that are 19 x 9 et 41, but I'm convinced I'll have issues.

you will have issues, those are too wide with to low an offset

yep, as daz says, those won't be a good fit.

OE is 7.5 x 18 ET51 so you want something pretty close. My wheels are 8" wide and ET45 and fit fine. From memory oobster had 19" vmr at 8.5 and ET45 and they were fine. Any wider or lower offset then you're very likely to rub.

I run 19" Helios that are 19 x 8.5 ET45 with 235 35 19 tyres and they are fine. Any more and you will have issues.

Any pics of yout car mate??

yes, at the lowest I had it (somewhere round 45-55mm lower than a stock vrs) it was pretty hard, but it was only like that for a couple of months.. found out i was outside the recommended operating range for the dameprs.. it went back up to somewhere around a 35mm drop and the ride was fine at that level on the weitecs. i did about 70k miles like that - no complaints at all, in fact the weitecs at that level rode better than my current setup (bilstein b16s.)

Weitecs??? Springs only or dampers too??

Take a look in the project forum, Stamsas's 'low clearence' runs a couple different 19" setups..

As far as i know it alsoo depends on how low you want to ride...

Im going to ride 9x19 ET41 with 215/35 this sommer, on std suspension they are out of the arches on the front, but when i get it down i have been told they will fit under the arches..
