Octavia Cruise / MFSW Retrofit

Featured Replies

Just purchased a 2012 1.6 CR TDI Octavia, Could not locate the precise spec that I wanted, so I have now fitted cruise control stalks and multi function steering wheel.

Parts concerned are :-

Steering wheel 3T0419091JE74

Steering column switch with cruise control 5K0 953 502 N

Existing Steering Wheel Control Module 5K0 953 569 C changed to ...569 T.

I believe that this is a compatible set of part numbers, does anyone disagree ?

Following some previous advice, I believe that I have the settings which I need to make via VCDS for these parts. However, when I fitted the 569T controller, VCDS could no longer connect to the car system and the car would not start.

Have I missed a step when introducing the new controller,or does it sound like the controller is dead ?.

Any help most appreciated.

Assuming everything is plugged in as it should be, it sounds like the controller could be faulty. In my (limited) experience, it would start even with an incorrectly coded steering controller.

5K0 953 569T

is listed only for Passat and Passat CC 2009 > Current

5k0 953 569C should be replaced with 5k0 953 569H
