turbo timer

Featured Replies

I no some say don't need to an some say it ok but trying to fit turbo timer to vrs can anyone help in where all the wires go I got the hand brake done an the ones for ignition but left with white an a black which it says go to ecu but not sure where?????!!!!!!!

I actually had to read that out loud to myself.

You sir, need to go back to school and learn English!

Turbo Timer are for people that rag the car to within 100 yeards of home then switch the engine straight off.

If you just calm down for last half a mile or so it's not needed.

All in my opinion of course.

All the people I know with seriously powerful turbo cars don't use them, so unfortunately I'm unable to help.

Now that was two wasted messages and neither answer question asked. The reason was written in that way was to shorten as much as poss and if it took you to read out loud to understand maybe it you that need re-educating!!!

This ones three ....

If you can't be arsed typing it out half tidy, why should anyone bother answering.

Its not a text message!!

I have nothing more to add, other than is this one of those IBTL moments? :D

I don't know anything about them, but putting 'turbo timer wiring' into Google tells me that the black wire could go to earth and the white wire is for the engine speed signal. The earth one is easy enough, the engine speed one either needs to be done at the ECU or the signal wire from the sensor.

As for:

If you go rubbing people up the wrong way around here, especially one of the above posters to whom you refer, you won't be getting much help.

If you want to add one to your car then fair enough but as foxy said, really isn't any point in one unless you do regular short trips and a very powerful engine.

People with cars such a skylines, evo's and Silvia's use them with big turbo's than take a whlie to cool after being on track or working up high PSI.

Writing the way you did with the intention of being quick just makes it worse as it takes twice as long to read it :)

Have got it working except being able to lock doors while it timing any ideas

I would say its aware of the engine running so won't let you lock it up, almost like you have left the key in the ignition.

Don't know how you would bypass that mind !!

I have one on my celica and it only locks the doors 1 out of 10 times, my mates silvia is the same. Think getting them to lock all the time is a problem
