D90 wheels.

Featured Replies

Just picked up my d90 wheels. My cars lowers 30 mm so will I get away with 45 tyres I realy don't want stretched tyers or to roll arches .plus what size spacers would I need front an rear. Any help would be great. And is £155 a good price for the wheels

I ran them, width's were 8j's rear and 7j front, with 25mm spacers on the front and 20mm on the rear and 195/45 tyres.

Stop messing about Paul... Get 'em on!

Cheers. Dose that mean u have to stretch the tyres to make them fit?

Shut up Tom an get ur ferry booked . Ha

Shouldn't think you'd have a problem if its only being lowered 30mm to be honest still be a big arch gap so won't run or anything..

Well the height of the wheel an tyre should be the same as now it's just the width am concerned about.

Realy. They have 205 on and 225 on back.

Personally I thought the front was a small stretch and the rears were a fairly decent stretch, I know plenty do but I'd not want to run more than what they were tbh.

I realy don't want stretch, I like to play up the lakes and am going round the ring so it's a no no. If I can use 205 an 225 without the rubbing when goin over the many many holes in the roads ill be happy.

These are all 7j with 195/45 16 tyres

If u go much bigger tyre they will look daft.. u may as well keep standard wheels or something oem if ur only 30mm lower and want big tyres m8 ;)

If u want to see other tyre sizes on different wheels have a look at the tyrestretch.com website i linked up in my last post.. they show alot of different sizes and there not all stretched ;)

cheers for that

195/45s wont b stretched on 7s and will only be a small stretch on the 8s..

Sorry but I disagree, having 7" front and 9" rear and having had 195 45 tires speaking from experience, both will be stretched and should look well.. Granted they wont be over the top but too much stretch looks stupid..

I am aware that these are 1" smaller but I had ALLOT of stretch on the 195 tire.

But those are 16" rims not 17, would that make a difference? Im trying to think back to when my wheels had the 195 tires on and im near sure fronts had a good bit of stretch, although obviously 7.5" alloys but 1/2" a inch should still leave stretch..

Sorry mate my heads away, im lookin about buying a set of these as a we change from the porsche twists and all along thought they were 17 lol..

I think tyre make/type & personal preference has a lot to do with it. To the scene whores this is just lame but to me it was my limit of what I'd run.

The front wheel clearly protrudes the tyre and the rear you can just make out the stretch. I know its not a great photo, but they didnt look like those tyres above from what i remember. I would agree though without this the wheels prob wouldn't work on a fabia.
