Highlights from Spain on now. ITV4.  8.00 pm

It is on BT sport 2 as well

Bugger. I'd of sat and watched this. I'll keep a closer eye on the thread

Enjoyed the WRC coverage, cars are amazing and better to watch than F1 IMO.

Shame it is all so easy for VAG.

I would like to see a balance of VAG trying hard in other competions, particurly WTCC where the Leon is a joke compared to the Chevy, Citreon, Honda and Lada.

I am no diesel fan particularly (except for R18s of course) but it was fun to see these 2 litre diesels sticking it to the petrols in BTCC and WTCC.

Now it has moved to 1.6 litre petrols, like F1 (V6 of course and about 600 hp) and the WRC enignes, albeit now with about 380 hp up from 270-300 hp or so with the 2 litre ones previously.

Diesel rally car?

I prefered the Welsh round of the WRC when it was in Mid and South Wales rather than North Wales but hey ho.

S4, Rallio, do some good coverage, only wish I spoke Welsh.

I agree with lol lol above. The coverage was great and the spectacle is better than F1.

I recently returned from Germany where we went to DTM at Hockenheim. My wife and I both felt it also was up there with the best Motorsport.

Some Friendly Football Match on the Telly at the same time,

but it is doubtful anyone will be watching that.

@ 8.00 PM,  WRC Highlights from Finland.

In WRC-2 the Skoda Fabia R5 was 1st & 2nd.

In the WRC, before the Polo went in for the full season, there were a couple of mule Fabias in full VW colours and full VW motorsport team support, good to see.

But will the Skoda brand get a road version?  (My little Fabia 2 VRS had the little IRC champion stickers as standard than to Andreas) (twice).

The 2.0 Litre WRC car Skoda Fabia / VW Polo was basically the same car.

Someone in the Fabia 3 Register has a 1.2 tsi that a dealer has applied WRC stickers to,

so thats what you get for a 'Skoda Motor Sport tribute' or  Rallying DNA, a Fabia with 110 ps if you are lucky.

Like the CEO said,

if you want a proper vRS buy an Octavia.

You can buy a R5 from Skoda though.

Mind you the Octavia VRS was not very good at all at rally, way too long, overhang.  Great at Land Speed records though (228 mph).

Yes. You just need a long enough run.

(did Skoda do Supercharged Production ones? Ssshh)
