This may be the wrong thing to say here, but to my eyes and purely in my opinion, I think the Octy II is nowhere near as attractive as the original; and that goes for hatch and estate.

Looking at some of the recent VW & Seat designs, I wonder whether they've lost the plot. I'm not looking forward to the new Fabia... :eek:

New Octavia is so much better looking that the old one. Although I wouldn't put the new one ahead of the Ferrari F430 it certainly brings the Octavia up to date.

I quite like the look of new VAG cars, the New Passat is certainly a looker.

I think they may be a bit biased, wonder how many British people would vote a Rover (If they still made them) in front of a Ferrari or 6 Series BMW.

Yeah, agree Octy II is better looking than its predecessor but not by a huge margin.

The new Passat is certainly a looker in my eyes (saw four today in convoy twixt Northampton and Buckingham). The estate Passat looks good too as does the new Jetta (was Bora) saloon due early '06.

Maybe it's time Specsavers opened up in the Czech republic. Certainly seems to be a market.

Maybe they were only allowed to see the interior - that certainly looks better!

I was very careful to point out it was only my opinion as there are bound to be many different views on matters of styling.

Good to see the old name back. For may years the Jetta was the Golf with a boot before VW changed things. My wife has had two of them.

I think this picture shows how the new octy has aged the old one when you put them together in my opinion of course

I still don't like the front of the new Octy, it seems to have lost the elegance of the original. Again, purely my opinion before everyone disagrees with me!

The Czechs would say that, wouldn't they? When's the last time a non-Skud was COTY in CZ?
